The protection of your personal data is very important to us. This privacy policy informs you about the most important aspects of data processing within the scope of our website as well as our hosting and cloud services.

We process personal data exclusively on the basis of the applicable legal provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG 2003).

When accessing our website, your IP address as well as the beginning and end of the session are recorded for technical reasons. This processing is carried out to ensure secure and stable website operation and constitutes a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Hosting & Server Operation

Our website and all services offered by PixoVista are hosted on servers located in German data centers. Operation is fully GDPR-compliant with a European hosting provider.

No data is transferred to third countries outside the European Union.

Photo & Video Hosting (Immich)

PixoVista provides hosting services for private photo and video collections based on the open-source software Immich. Only content uploaded by the user is processed and stored.

Stored data includes photos, videos, and associated metadata (e.g. capture time or location), provided such data is uploaded or activated by the user.

All features – including machine learning (e.g. facial recognition), search, maps, and location services – are fully self-hosted on PixoVista infrastructure. No data is transmitted to external third parties.

SINGLE and ADMIN Packages

With SINGLE packages, personal data of a single user is processed within an individual account.

With ADMIN packages, personal data of multiple users is processed within a dedicated Immich instance. User management is handled by the respective administrator.

PixoVista acts as a data processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Contacting Us

If you contact us by email or via a contact form, the data you provide will be used exclusively to process your request.

This data is stored for a maximum of six months and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.

Cookies

Our website uses only technically necessary cookies required for the operation and basic functionality of the site.

No tracking, analytics, or marketing cookies are used.

Server Log Files

The provider of this website automatically collects information within so-called server log files, including:

• IP address or hostname
• browser used
• date and time of access
• pages accessed
• operating system
• internet service provider (ISP)

This data is not evaluated on a personal basis. Analysis occurs only in the event of security-relevant incidents or unlawful activities.

Data Security & Backups

We implement technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against loss, manipulation, or unauthorized access.

Regular backups are performed to enable data recovery in case of technical issues.

When using an ADMIN package, PixoVista processes personal data on behalf of the customer. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is concluded.

This agreement governs the scope, duration, and purpose of data processing as well as the technical and organizational measures for data protection.
